Terms and Conditions
Last updated: April 2026
1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions cover all underfloor heating work carried out by Kent Underfloor Heating for domestic and commercial clients. By booking work with us you agree to the terms below. For enquiries, contact jakemarsh82@gmail.com or call 07452 995369.
2. Services Offered
- Water-based underfloor heating installation: retrofit overlay, in-screed new build and extension, and between-joist suspended floor systems.
- Subfloor preparation, insulation fitting, manifold installation, pipe routing, pressure testing, and system commissioning.
- Work is carried out in line with current Building Regulations and relevant industry standards.
3. Quotations and Pricing
- All quotes are free and valid for 60 days from the date of issue unless stated otherwise in writing.
- Quotes are based on the information provided at the time. If site conditions differ materially from those described, we reserve the right to revise the price in writing before work begins.
- Unless stated otherwise, pricing includes both labour and materials. VAT treatment is set out on the quote itself.
4. Payments and Deposits
- A materials-cost deposit may be required to secure a booking on larger jobs.
- Final payment is due on completion of the agreed work unless we have agreed staged payments in writing beforehand.
- We accept bank transfer, card and cash.
5. Customer Responsibilities
- Please provide clear access to the work area, a functioning water supply, and a functioning power supply on site.
- Notify us of any hazards or site-specific risks (e.g. asbestos, structural concerns) before work begins.
- Protect pets, valuables and furnishings in the work area. We will take reasonable care of your property but cannot be responsible for items left in the work zone.
6. Cancellations and Delays
- We ask for at least one full week's notice if you need to reschedule or cancel a booked-in job. Shorter-notice cancellations may incur a cancellation fee covering reserved time and any material costs already incurred.
- We are not liable for delays caused by circumstances outside our control, including weather, material supply issues, and delays caused by other trades on site.
7. Guarantees and Workmanship
- Labour is covered by a 12-month workmanship guarantee from the date of completion.
- Materials carry the manufacturer's warranty. Pipe carries a 50-year manufacturer warranty as standard.
- Guarantees exclude damage caused by misuse, neglect, tampering, third-party work, or normal wear and tear.
8. Liability and Limitations
- We carry £1,000,000 of public liability insurance. Evidence of cover is available on request.
- We are not responsible for pre-existing faults, damage caused by other trades, or delays caused by customer-side issues (access, decision delays, payment holds).
- Our liability is limited to the value of the work carried out. We are not liable for indirect losses including loss of business or consequential damage.
9. Privacy and Data
We handle personal information in line with UK GDPR. See our Privacy Policy for how we collect, store and use your information.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
